The Big Day: Stripes, stripes stripes.

Black and white pinstripes are a big part of our wedding decor. I just opened the new Martha Stewart Weddings Spring 2013 mag and it seems black and white stripes for weddings is moving into the mega-trend stratosphere. You heard it here first? (Just humor me.)

Anyways, because I’ve got stripes on mah mind, here are some of the stripey things I have been eye-balling (or have purchased) for the ‘ole wedding.

This is a pretty good idea of what my bouquet will look like, complete with stripey ribbon, with the addition of some gray and black.

Stripes will also be all over the tables, in the form of cloth napkins (on the round tables) and table runners (on the long tables.)

Posting another tablescape because it’s so SO good.

The striped tablerunners will have pom pom tassels just like these, inspired by these Proud Mary pillows.

I love these striped lanterns (from Z. Gallerie) so much.

Aaron’s groomsmen will also have a little striped detail… and gray tuxes! And love the ribbon on that dress!

Striped socks!

It’s won’t be all stripes for the wedding. There will be lots of shades of pink, yellow and orange throughout. Oh, and gold glitter and unfinished wood tones. Let’s hope it all comes together because right now it feels like a big mish mash in my mind!

I could talk about the non-pretty, wedding-related stuff I did this week (like order booze, get invitations weighed and shop for undergarments) but it’s all a big snoozefest. I had much more fun posting the pretty pictures…

HAPPY WEEKEND

xo,

emily

Thanks, Shelby! I’m hoping to have some more “actual” photos soon… I’m getting tired of posting these “inspiration” photos! It’s hard to do real until AFTER the wedding! Have a great weekend xx

The bow is so, SO good. It is like artwork. If it was high enough res I would have printed it and framed. :)

I fully expect myself to have my camera-in hand while fully clad in wedding garb to get shots for some blog posts! Happy Weekend, Gabbi!

I agree Monika! This color/pattern combo has been making its way into my home as well! Even clothing!

I love this! I just started looking at stripes to incorporate into my wedding. These pictures gave me so much inspiration, especially those lanterns! I must have them at my bridal shower!

June 1 bride here . . . I have black and white stripes everywhere! I think it’s so preppy and fresh . . . like if Kate Spade were to have a garden party.

Absolutely beautiful! Love the stripes! I saw a striped bowtie in there too! They just add a little somethin’ somethin’ don’t they? And can I say your necklace is absolutely amazing?
